How Much Does a Combi Boiler cost?

A ‘combi’ or combination boiler is a compact unit that provides both hot water and central heating from a single unit. Unlike a traditional boiler or a system boiler, a combi does not need a separate hot water storage cylinder or cold-water tank, as it heats water directly on demand.


This makes combi boilers perfect for apartments and smaller 1-to-3-bedroom homes with limited space and modest hot water demand, giving you an efficient and convenient way of delivering hot ater instantly whenever needed.

Can my new boiler go in the same place?

Will my new boiler be bigger or smaller than my current boiler?

This depends on the capacity of the boiler you pick and how old your current boiler is. If you are upgrading to a larger capacity boiler, it may be bigger than your old one. However, please bear in mind that newer models are often more compact than older boilers. You may be able to purchase a more powerful or higher capacity boiler with an equal or smaller footprint than your current unit. What warranty will my new boiler have?

Most new boilers come with a standard manufacturer’s warranty of five years, but this depends on the boiler you pick. Some offer a 10-year warranty. To claim on your warranty, you will need to service your boiler once a year and demonstrate an annual service history.

How long will my new boiler last?

A well-maintained new modern boiler should provide a good service life of 10 to 15 years. However, this can depend on the make and model. Even an entry-level combi boiler from a quality manufacturer should last you 10 years, as long as you keep up with its servicing.
